We're wanderers with a purpose

We want to create a community where we will be healthy and joyful - by default. We want to explore the world, work on our goals, learn and do something cool here and there, and do it all together (while helping a few along the way)

 

All our habitations are designed to include the following elements:

  • Good for our body  –  through Yoga, Muay Thai, Kalarippayattu, surfing, scuba and freediving,  swimming, running, hiking, and group workouts.

  • Good for our soul – through meditation, learning, cultivating curiosity, practicing gratitude, and building social connections.

  • Sessions on science on wellbeing and daily interventions that enhances our wellbeing.

  • Goal setting and a habit building protocol to motivate each other to stick to the goals and building habits

  • Slow travel – staying in places weeks at a time, getting to know the places and people deeper

  • Youth empowerment and environment - through every habitation we will be raising money for youth empowerment and environmental projects in India and Indonesia.

  • Who is this for?
    This is for those who want to travel the world, a bit slower, a bit deeper. For those who struggle to build healthy habits or pick up new skills alone. For gap year travellers, digital nomads looking for a community with shared goals, to have adventures together, creating stories that will last a life time.
  • What can i expect in a habitation retreat?
    What to Expect at a Habitation Retreat? Comfortable Stay – Clean, cozy rooms with private bathrooms for a restful retreat. Nourishing Breakfast Daily Expert-Led Training – Practice yoga, Muay Thai, or Kalaripayattu in a private, beginner-friendly group (varies by location) Skill Development – Choose to learn surfing, sailing, diving, freediving, or kitesurfing (varies by location) Structured Habit Building – A proven protocol with an accountability manager to keep you on track. Workshops – Sessions on habit formation, well-being, and productivity. Coworking Sessions – Scheduled time to work on personal or professional projects within a supportive community.
  • What's NOT included
    1) Flights, and transport 2) Meals (only breakfast is provided) 3) Insurance. 4) Any other activities that is not mentioned in the location specific program page.
  • Whats a day look like?
    A Day in the Life at Habitation.Community – Gili Meno 8:00 AM – Yoga Start with yoga & meditation few steps away from your bedroom. Beginner friendly, private group training with an expert instructor focusing on building an independent practice. 9:30 AM – Group Breakfast Share a healthy breakfast with the group—smoothie bowls, fresh tropical fruits, eggs, and local Indonesian favorites. 10:00 AM – Work & Personal Time This is your flexible time for remote work, creative projects, personal reflection, or exploring the island. 5:00 PM – Evening Group Activity (Varies by day) Workshops & Goal-Setting Sessions (e.g., habit-building, well-being, productivity) If you want more physical activities you could run along the beach to get to the beach gym, do some pullups, swim until the underwater statues and watch the sun setting behind a volcano from the water. Or we could just walk to see the sunset and live music after. 7:00 PM – Social time (or more work if you are unlucky) 9:00 PM – Wind Down Optional stargazing, journaling, or an early night—resting up for the next day Special Weekly & One-Off Events Weekly: Beach workouts, sunset and live music, coworking on creative side projects, beach cleanups One-Time: Sunset boat cruise, island hopping, snorkeling trip and two dives over the 4 weeks.
  • Where are the next Habitations going to be?
    Here is the planned calendar for 2025 April - Gili Meno, Indonesia May - Koh Phangan, Thailand June and July - Kerala, India October - Capadoccia, Turkey November - Crete, Greece
  • I see all habitations are for 3 weeks. Could i just join for 1 week?
    Want to join for just a week? Let’s talk! We do offer one-week stays when possible, but the full 3-week experience is where the magic happens. It is enough time to balance work, learning, and adventure—so you leave with real skills, great habits, and lifelong connections. Send us an inquiry, and we’ll see what’s possible!"
  • How is Habitation.community a social enterprise?
    For every Habitation we organize we have 2 goals 1) to provide an environment for the participants be healthy by default and help them learn new skills and build habits. 2) Raise funds for disadvantaged youth in India and Indonesia to become diving, yoga and martial arts instructors. For 2025 we are partnering with Freediving Coaches of Asia, a registered charity that provides free certified swimming and diving coach training in Asia to provide economic opportunities, to introduce more people to swimming and diving and to protect our already fragile oceans and rivers.
